Rather than taking one of my sparse vacation days to witness the historical Obama inauguration (through, of course, my television proxy), a lady at work had the ingenious idea of setting up a boardroom with a tv. And so, I’ve set up shop here and am diligently ignoring my work to intently watch the pre-inauguration festivities and preparations on a dusty old school JVC TV atop of which rests an even older VCR that’s the size of 5 stacked laptops.

I have to say that I’m very envious and regretful that I didn’t make the effort to attend this momentous occasion. Seeing and hearing the throes of friendly crowds, regailing spontaneous bursts of songs, and celebratory ambiance, I’m wishing I were there!
